Possible Player of the Year?!

Only his junior year and Brec Alward is drawing the eyes of many. According to the predictions made my Jared Purcell with mlive, Alward is on the list of players that have the potential to make a run at Football Player of the Year in 2018. All you have to do is type 'Brec Alward' into Google and you will see why this small town boy is a potential candidate for Football Player of the Year.

Not even his senior season and Alward threw up some impressive stats for the 2017 season.

• 203 carries for 1,321 yards
• 21 touchdowns
• 4 interceptions on defense

The Michigan High School Football Player of the Year starts of with the naming of the top 10 selections provided by the mlive Media Group. From there a panel of 50 coaches and media members from across the state vote for the four finalists and readers get to vote for the fifth finalist. After the five finalist are chosen, the members of the Football Player of the Year coaches and media voting panels will each vote for just one of the finalists; the one with the most votes will win the award.
