Panthers move up to #2

In the latest Michigan Associated Press high school rankings, the Alma Panthers have jumped up to the #2 ranking in Division 4. The only team ranked higher than the Panthers is last years Division 4 State Champion Grand Rapids Catholic Central. The Panthers are also only one of three top 10 teams that are still undefeated in Division 4. A big part of the Panthers success has came from the Junior duo of Drew Humm and Brec Alward. The duo has helped lead the Panther offence to an average of nearly 34 points per game this season. However, both Humm and Alward will have to be every bit as good this week as they face a stingy Carrollton defense that has only allowed an average of 16.5 points per game this season.
