Panthers Advance!
(OT game winning play)
What an exciting game to be at, it made the numbing of my hands and feet worth it! The Panthers defeated the Flint Powers Catholic Chargers in overtime Friday night, 20-14. Between the blocked field goals, missed field goals, onside kick recoveries, and fumbles this game was nothing short of entertaining.
There were also some great plays by the Panthers in the second half, including Drew Humm's 25-yard pass completion to Brandon Huff and Brec Alward's 32-yard touchdown run to tie the game!
Alward ended the night with 235 rushing yards along with three touchdowns. Humm threw for a total of 113 passing yards and Huff finished with 32 yards rushing and 43 yards in the air.

The Panthers will face the Escanaba Eskymos next Friday in Escanaba. The Eskymos are feeling hot after beating Bay City John Glenn with a score of 40-14. This will be the third meeting for the district title between the Eskymos and the Panthers in the last seven years. The series is tied 1-1 with the most recent game being last year and the Eskymos coming out on top.
Check back this week as we will be announcing the Player of the Game from Friday's game as well as a look into the upcoming opponents!
