9/29 GAME RECAP (Freeland Falcons)

The Alma Panthers took their home field on Friday night looking to clinch a playoff berth against the Freeland Falcons. Kickoff was at 7 pm and it was not long before your Panthers drew first blood.  After a big sack on 4th down by Chase Albaugh, he called his own number on the ensuing drive for an 80 yard score to the house! 1st quarter ended 7-0 Panthers.  The Falcons managed to get on the board to tie the game at 7-7 in the 2nd quarter.  Following the Falcons score, Panther's Brandon Huff returned the kick half way up the field to give QB Drew Humm and his offense good field position to work with.  The Panthers battled their way the next 50 yards to a Brec Alward 8 yard TD to put the score up 6 on the Falcons!  The Falcons had a Touchdown late in the first half called back and neither team were able to score in the last half of the 2nd quarter.  Panthers went in to halftime up 13-7.  Panthers early in the 3rd quarter were able to go up 19-7 on a 33 yard TD run by HB Brec Alward!  Drew Humm took the ball from under center and snuck his way into paydirt for the 2 pt conversion to put the Panthers up 21-7!  The Falcons didn't have the ball long before Brec Alward found his name on the stat sheet yet again for an interception on the following Falcon drive!  The 3rd quarter wrapped up with no more scores.  The 4th quarter was filled with 3 and outs, and Falcon turnovers and no more scores as YOUR ALMA PANTHERS CLINCH A PLAYOFF BERTH and won the game 21-7 against the Freeland Falcons!
